It’s no secret that various social media platforms have routinely suppressed the voices of conservatives on their various platforms and the White House is getting fed up.
“Well, the president has made it very clear that we are not going to tolerate censorship on the Internet and social media against conservatives. We’re just not going to tolerate it.”
– Vice President Pence
While Pence did not elaborate on what the response from the White House would be there has been rumors of the White House forming a coalition that would be in charge of looking into and evaluating claims of conservatives voices being suppressed.
“The Radical Left is in total command & control of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Google. working to remedy this illegal situation.”
– Tweet from President Trump
Social media and big tech deny that they are suppressing the voices of conservatives. However conservatives argue that news feeds are being manipulated, fact checking is selective, search rankings are skewed and politically motivated content is moderated.
At the social media summit last year at the White House conservatives discussed the issues with big tech companies quieting conservative voices and how to handle the situation.
“We have terrible bias. We have censorship like no one has any understanding, nobody can believe. They’re playing with a lot of minds and they’re playing unfairly.”
– President Trump
Many conservatives have become frustrated with the platforms and have started to switch to platforms that don’t censor their voices.
