On Saturday at least 100 people gathered outside of Mayor Eric Garcetti’s home in Hancock Park protesting current health restrictions.
While California eased stay at home restrictions slightly allowing a small part of the economy to reopen, many residents are still frustrated with the stay at home order.
At least 100 people gathered outside of the Mayor’s home demanding that the economy reopen and expressing frustration with health orders being put in place in response to the coronavirus.
According to the Los Angeles Police Sergeant Zachary Wechsler, there was approximately 100-200 protesters and it lasted about two hours. Protesters carried signs and waved American flags.
Many leaders in the Los Angeles and San Francisco area have said they will take a very cautious approach to reopening because the coronavirus remains a significant threat to public health.
In California Los Angeles is the hot spot for the coronavirus with a total of 31,230 cases reported and 1,515 deaths
