A Grove City Police officer was uninjured after being body-slammed by a suspect during an arrest Monday.
The suspect turned out to be Eastern Kentucky University Football Player, Michael Harris. Eastern Kentucky University confirmed that Harris is a redshirt sophomore for their football program.
Harris is facing a felony charge of assault and misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest, obstructing official business, and disorderly conduct while intoxicated.
The original call to the location was a disturbance with an aggressive man who did not work there and would not leave. It took multiple officers to detain and ultimately arrest Harris after the fight began.
