A Vermont state Police Trooper decided he wanted to do more to help his local health care center in the fight against the coronavirus by making dozens of face shields for doctors and nurses

Robert Zink, a Vermont State Police Detective Trooper, decided to put his 3D printer to good use. Zink enjoys using his 3D printer in his free time and decided he would print face shields to donate to his local health care center.

When Zink found out that Bennington Health and Rehab Center were unable to obtain personal protective equipment he utilized plastic sheets donated by Staples to print 60 face shields with his 3D printer.

The center in Bennington where he donated the face shields has 15,700 residents and is 10 miles from Massachusetts and New York borders

“This is just one of many examples of how the Vermont communities come together in this time of need,”
