by Zach Heilman on September 16, 2020
On Tuesday outside of the Sandra Day O’Connor U.S. Courthouse in Phoenix a US Marshall was shot in a drive by shooting.
The Marshall was in the process of checking a delivery from a UPS truck when multiple shots were fired.
The Marshall was hit in the chest but fortunately he had his protective vest on. The Marshall was able to get up and return fire on the suspect.
The suspect sped away, but later on police were able to apprehend the suspect.
The Marshall was shot several times and taken to a nearby hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.
The ambush appears to be a planned attack. Currently the investigation has been turned over to the FBI.
