Last Thursday the Trump Campaign began calling up local restaurants purchasing large quantities of meals to be sent to local hospitals. The campaign would put in the order anonymously, They wanted to show their gratitude to those who are working tirelessly day in and day out to fight the pandemic.
So far the campaign has ordered large amounts of food that has been delivered to more than 12 hospitals in New York, New Jersey, Michigan and Washington.
While the campaign has been making the orders anonymously some news sources have been able to confirm that the Trump Campaign are the ones behind the donations.
The Trump campaign is not only showing support and gratitude to hospital workers but they are also showing support to local restaurants helping them stay in business.
“They’re doing it as a donor who cares. So nothing politically is tied to it. … We’re just trying to, you know, show a thank you.”
“They’re trying to send things that are like, local restaurants that may need support [and] cool restaurant icons of the area that may need the business,”
