(Video) Tribute To Slain California Officer Cpl. Ronil Singh of the Newman Police Department

by America's Keepers on September 12, 2019
A Modesto farm is honoring a fallen officer through its annual corn maze.

The face of fallen Newman police Cpl. Ronil Singh is subject of the 10-acre maze at Dutch Hollow Farms.

Singh was shot and killed on Dec. 26, 2018, when he pulled over a reported drunken driver.

Dutch Hollow Farms called the maze a tribute to Singh. The maze features the officer’s smiling face and his name.

Every year the Modesto corn maze has a theme, and this year the community voted on social media to have the fallen officer honored.

Farmer John Bos said he reached out to the corporal's widow and she was 100% on board.

Soon people will be able to see the tribute in person and find some healing.

"This is one of those things that everyone as a community can come together and pay tribute to someone that is really a hero, and I think it is a great thing because I can see the community pulling together," Bos said.

The corporal's widow had one condition on using her husband's image: that her 1-year-old son be able to walk through the maze first. That will happen along with a community tribute at the farm in Modesto on Sept. 28 at 9 a.m.

Law enforcement officers will be there for the ceremony.
