Suspect Bites Officer’s Nose In Escape Attempt

In Gainseville Georgia while a police officer was attempting to get a suspect into custody the suspect bit the officer on the nose.

As Gainseville Police attempted to handcuff Kenton Thompson he was able to get free and took off. When police caught up to Thompson he bit one of the officers on the nose resulting in a serious injury.

The officer was taken to a Northeast Georgia Medical Center where he received treatment.

Thompson is being charged with aggravated battery, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony obstruction. He is currently being held at Hall County Jail without bond.
