Just a day after North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper announced that face coverings are mandatory, Alamance County Sheriff’s Office announced they would not issue citations for violating the unconstitutional order.
During a news conference on Wednesday Governor Cooper announced that he would be extending Phase 2 of reopening until July 17 and mandated that all residents of North Carolina must wear face masks in public.
In a news release the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office announced they would not issue citations for anyone who violates the order.
“The Alamance County Sheriff’s Office recommends compliance of the Governor’s Executive Order requiring face coverings. However, the Sheriff’s Office will not issue a citation for violations,”

The order goes into effect on Friday at 5 pm and is in effect until at least July 17.
