On Wednesday afternoon police responded to a domestic disturbance call. When they arrived they found Josiah James McIntosh and a child who smelled like gasoline. McIntosh was also in possession of a disposable lighter.
Officers filed a complaint alleging that McIntosh had put gasoline on the child with plans to set the child on fire.
A man who had arrived at the home before police stated that McIntosh told him, “If we can’t get out the demon, I’ll burn it out of him,” McIntosh got violent and punched the man and hit him with a brick before taking off.
After a brief search police had found McIntosh in the neighborhood. He was arrested for aggravated assault, child endangerment and reckless endangerment.
Currently McIntosh is being held on $75,000 bail.
