PA Drive In Theater Gets Warning After Opening

by AmericasKeepersAdmin on May 24, 2020

A drive-in theater in Northampton County Pennsylvania received a warning from police after they opened their business despite receiving a blessing from their local state representative and law enforcement.

Becky’s drive in theater opened up their business after getting the ok from local authorities. However the Lehigh Township Police Department did not agree.

“At no time did the owner or manager speak with me regarding opening,”
– Scott Fogel, Police Chief

The business received a visit from police with a warning that they were in violation of the state’s stay at home order. Police Chief Scott Fogel said that he never gave permission to the business to open.

“Whether the police agree with the order is not relevant. We still have a duty to recognize the law and enforce it if necessary. I am afraid Becky’s was given some inaccurate information with regard to opening.”
– Scott Fogel, Police Chief

Pennsylvania is still currently under a stay at home order, but Governor Wolf has stated that by June 5 the order should be removed
