One Deputy dead, two more shot in Colorado Springs UPDATE

The Denver Post is reporting that a Deputy is dead, and two more Law Enforcement Officers were shot and wounded in Colorado Springs today near the Citadel Mall.

Police on Twitter state all suspects are accounted for.

Thoughts and prayers to the Deputy they lost, their family and department, as well as those wounded.

UPDATE 2/6/18:

The murdered deputy has been identified as 34 year old Micah Flick. He is survived by his wife and 7 year old twins.

The incident began as a stolen vehicle pursuit which ended in an officer involved shooting.

The only suspect was killed.

Flick became the third officer to be gunned down in the line of duty in the state in the past five weeks.

The injured officers’ names and conditions were not immediately released. Officials said two are deputies with the sheriff’s office and the third is an officer with the Colorado Springs Police Department.
