Late Thursday night Dr Acton signed the new order for Ohio extending the current “Stay Safe Ohio” order through May 29. However the new order does allow for some businesses and medical offices to reopen.
Under the order elective surgeries and procedures can resume and dentist offices as well as medical offices can reopen effective immediately
Starting on May 4 manufacturing, distribution and construction businesses can reopen. Their offices can open as well but it is still encouraged to have employees work from home as much as possible
On May 12 retail stores can reopen, but they must adhere to social distancing guidelines and there can only be 10 customers in the store at a time. Retail businesses that offer curbside pickup, delivery or appointment only can open effective immediately.
Under the order beauty salons, barber shops, restaurants, gyms, schools and bars must remain closed.
While the order has been extended it appears that Ohio is making progress in allowing their state to slowly reopen
