by Zach Heilman on October 15, 2020

Los Angeles police killed an armed suspect who refused to listen to police commands and pointed a gun at a group of people outside of a gas station.
Shortly before 10 pm on Wednesday an armed suspect walked up to a group of people standing outside a gas station and pointed a gun at them.
Police who were patrolling the area saw the situation and stopped to help. Police issued commands for the suspect to drop the weapon. When the suspect did not listen to the commands, police were forced to open fire.
The suspect died at the scene and police recovered his weapon.
Fortunately no officers were injured during the incident.
“You know, it’s still a little bit early to say what exactly the motive was. Obviously, that’s going to be a part of interviewing the individuals, what was said. What we do know is that these officers tonight, were absolutely for those individuals, in the right place at the right time.” - ” LAPD Det. Meghan Aguilar
