Key Impeachment Witness, Lt. Col. Alexander Vindmand Fired From White House
Lieutenant Col. Alexander Vindman, a key witness in the Trump Impeachment trial, was escorted out of the White House today after he was relieved of his duties there.
“There is no question in the mind of any American why this man’s job is over, why this country now has one less soldier serving it at the White House, Lt. Col. Vindman was asked to leave for telling the truth. His honor, his commitment to right, frightened the powerful.”
– David Pressman, attorney for Lt. Col. Vindmand
Sorry Mr. Pressman but there are MANY people who question the man’s motives.
Vindman served as top expert on the national security counsel for Ukraine. He was born in Ukraine and came over to the United States with his family when he was three. Vindman served multiple tours overseas and earned the Purple Heart Award after he was wounded by a roadside bomb when he served in Iraq.
Vindman has testified that he didn’t believe it was appropriate for President Trump to demand a foreign government investigate Vice President Joe Biden and his son’s dealings with the energy company Burisma in Ukraine.
President Trump was not quiet about how he felt regarding Vindman.
“Well, I’m not happy with him. You think I’m supposed to be happy with him? I’m not.”
– President Donald Trump
Vindman has been reassigned to the Pentagon and Defense Secretary Mark Esper stated that Vindman will face no retribution on his new assignment.
“We protect all of our service members from retribution or anything like that. We’ve already addressed that in policy and other means.”
– Defense Secretary Mark Esper
