Illinois University Locks Down After Campus Shooting

An Illinois University has cancelled all classes on Wednesday and locked down buildings after a student was shot in his dorm room by his roommate. 
According to Western Illinois University Kavion Poplous shot his roommate on Tuesday night inside their dorm room and then took off. The injured roommate was transported to a nearby hospital where he underwent surgery for his wounds. 
An arrest warrant has been issued for Poplous for first degree attempted murder, aggravated assault and aggravated discharge of a firearm.
Poplous finally surrendered himself to authorities on Wednesday afternoon.
The school had cancelled classes as a precautionary measure and locked down all buildings.
