Home Invasion Suspect Shot by Patriot in West Valley Las Vegas

 Las Vegas Metropolitan police, on Wednesday, said a suspect was shot while trying to break into a home at the Regency at the Lakes apartment complex in the west valley.

 According to police, officers were called around 2:33 p.m. on August 7 to the 9300 block of West Desert Inn, near South Fort Apache Road, .

  Andrea, a women who didn't want to give her last name and lives at the apartments said the suspected intruders robbed her place first. 

 She said her downstairs neighbor, who heard the commotion called the police and armed himself. "He knows that we’re not there during the day," Andrea said.

The suspected thieves then forced their way into his apartment downstairs. One of the three suspects was shot by the homeowner after breaking open the door. He was was taken to University Medical Center Trauma for treatment, and is expected to survive said Las Vegas police.

According the hero patriot "Me and my baby were home. My Biological mother died on August 7 2005. I wasn't or we wasn't gonna be next for this date. I've taught my daughter home invasion drills since she was 3 now she's 6...and it worked perfectly. Second Amendment All Day" 

Detectives with LVMPD were still working to identify the other two suspects.
