A 53 year old disabled woman, shot and killed one of the two home intruders who broke into her home over the weekend.

In Harris County Texas a 17 year old and 18 year old broke into the home of a disabled woman. The two intruders broke the window of the home which allowed them to reach in and unlock the door.

When the resident heard the noise from the breakin she got her gun and fired one shot which killed the intruder who came into the home first.

Police received a phone call about the shooting just shortly before 3 pm on Saturday afternoon. When they got to the home they saw that one of the suspects had been shot and killed by the home owner.

The second suspect, Aren Lacour was detained at the scene. They also arrested Ayanna Harrison who appeared to be the driver of the getaway vehicle. The getaway vehicle found at the scene has been linked with other burglaries in the area.

Police did confirm that the suspect who was shot was armed. Lacour and Harrison are being charged with a felony murder charge because the crime occurred at a habitation which resulted in the death of another person.

It’s fortunate for the woman who occupied the home that she had the ability to defend herself with a gun because otherwise it is unlikely that she would have been able to physically defend herself from two teenagers.
