As many medical personnel worry about bringing the coronavirus home to their loved ones, Hilton and American Express are offering 1 million hotel room nights to help them be able to self quarantine and get a good nights sleep without fear of spreading the virus to their families.
Starting April 13 through the end of May, doctors, nurses, paramedics and other front line medical staff, will have the option to get a hotel room at no charge.

Hilton will be working with various medical associations including the American Hospital Association and Society of Critical Care Medicine to assist their members in finding a place to sleep so that they can protect their families.
Many U.S hotels that are currently closed to the public have connected with Hospitality for Hope, an American Hotel & Lodging Association which connects hotels with government agencies to offer hotel rooms for emergency services. The initiative provides hotels with some type of revenue stream as they are financially impacted by the pandemic

The hotels will be staffed by employees who have undergone extensive training for health and safety to protect themselves and the guest. Also all areas will be cleaned in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Despite the rooms being free, employees will get paid
