Gunman Opens Fire Outside Kansas City Chief's Stadium

An man armed with a 2 guns and a knife was taken into custody after a standoff with police outside the Kansas City Chief's stadium.

Around 10 am on Saturday Kansas City Police responded to a call about a man opening fire on Arrowhead Stadium employees. 


When police arrived they were able to get the man to one area of the parking lot. The standoff lasted seven hours and police believe the man was having a mental health crisis.

Fortunately all of the employees were able to get out of harms way.

Police eventually used non lethal force to take the gunman into custody. Police had the man undergo a mental health exam before putting him in jail. 

Fortunately no one was hurt during the incident.
