An FBI agent was shot in Somerset Kentucky on Friday while trying to serve an arrest warrant for Gary Baldock, a constable in Pulaski County

An investigation last month led to an arrest warrant being issued for Gary Baldock who is being charged with unreasonable search and seizure. His partner Michael Wallace was also issued an arrest warrant for the same charges and was taken into custody on Friday.

According to the indictment handed down by a federal grand jury it stated that Wallace and Baldock conspired to “injure, oppress, threaten and intimidate” people in Pulaski County and deprived them of their constitutional right “to be free from unreasonable search and seizures.”

At approximately 6 am on Friday Morning FBI agents went to Baldock’s home to serve the warrant for his arrest. An FBI agent and another individual were shot. Both were taken to the local hospital and the FBI agent has been treated and released.

A next door neighbor saw the incident after being woken up by the sound of gunshots.

“Well I was laying in bed and I heard gunshots. I jumped up and I went in the hallway and was like looking through the window and I saw in the dark a guy dressed in black standing there with a gun leaning over the hood of my truck.”
