As protest erupt across the city of Los Angeles over the death of George Floyd, there has been a massive increase in the number of homicides. Between May 31 – June 6 the city saw a 250 percent increase in homicides and a 56 percent increase in gunshot victims.

The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating the homicides.
