The University of Chicago crime lab processed 18 deaths in 24 hours on May 31 making it the deadliest day in six decades.
In Addition to the 18 deaths on May 31 there was an additional seven deaths on May 29 and May 30 making that weekend the deadliest Chicago has seen in modern day history.

Multiple people lost their lives to violence that has taken over Chicago. The Police department is investigating the murders and hoping to find answers.
“The level of activity experienced over the last week has been unprecedented and the Department is actively investigating multiple incidents across the city and working to determine the motives in these cases,”

Meanwhile as crime escalates across the city Mayor Lightfoot has decided Churches that have in person services are more pressing criminals as she utilizes police resources to enforce her unconstitutional stay at home order.
