The drone strike aimed at Raymi is the most recent operation in the beheading of global terrorist organizations. Qasim has been thought to be a possible future head of the al Qaeda.
Al-Raymi is/was a young leader at only 41 years old. He trained other terrorists in Afghanistan al-Qaida training camps as far back as the 1990’s before he returned to Yemen and ultimately became The Commander of Al-Qaida Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
The United States recently raised the bounty on his head to $10 million in 2018, from $5 million in 2014.
“He’s a real bad actor. This is a big win for us.”

“While we are aware of the reports alleging the death of AQAP leader Qassim al-Rimi, the Department of Defense has nothing to offer on this matter.”
