On Sunday, a 9/11 Memorial in Plymouth was found damaged just days after Plymouth Rock and a few other landmarks were vandalized

The six foot tall memorial is a granite pillar with the names of the fallen engraved on it is flanked by a firefighter and a police officer statue, one on each side. It’s been standing since 2004.

“It’s definitely not an accident because they’re bolted into the concrete underneath, so somebody had to put some pressure to do that.”
– Dick Quintal, former Plymouth Selectman

On Monday over 2 dozen Plymouth firefighters from Local 1768 showed up to repair the memorial

“They can knock us down, but we will always get back up even stronger. We are firefighters. We never forget.”
– PFD local 1768 tweeted
