Following the death of Officer Cody Holte a 10 year old girl decided to back the blue by raising over $10,000 to provide the Grand Forks Police Department with a meal.

Lexus Olson originally started a lemonade stand in the beginning of the summer to raise money to buy a trampoline, but after learning of the death of Officer Holte she decided to raise money to help the Grand Forks Police Department.

Lexus wanted to raise enough money to buy the department a full meal, but she surpassed her goal and raised close to $11,000. The officers got to enjoy a full meal with a huge spread of food.

“This is an awesome thing that they get to eat, and they can just come down here and sit and have fun.”
– Lexus Olson

The Grand Forks community has also come together to support the family of Officer Holte by creating a Go Fund Me which has raised over $100,000
